Many people have sent me emails asking me how they could keep the wallpaper fixed on hi5.com. Especially because they had followed the example «Static background on a web page» and it had not worked for them. (You can also see the comments to the article that talk about the topic).
The code of «Static background on a web page» does not work with hi5.com because it is designed to be able to manipulate a page without restrictions or made entirely by us.
While, hi5.com, allows us to modify certain properties in the profile edition in order to make the background of the page remain static.
The steps are as follows:
The first thing you have to do is log in with your username and password within hi5.com. Once inside you must go to the option “Customize my Profile”.
Once inside you will see a form like the following:
In the personalization part of the profile you must fill out two fields (although you can customize many more).
On the one hand URL of the background image: where you have to indicate the URL of your photo or image (in my case I have put a photo from flickr.com) and on the other hand you have to put the following code in Style
In this case the element on which the fixed background is applied is .bg_content and not .body
